Driveshaft or 10 bolt
Which would go first on a 95? I would guess the rear, cause stock DS is steel correct?
|
get the rear first. big things are the hardest to get. driveshafts arent too expensive. rear comes first.
|
opti
yeah its steel. its probably 6 one way 1/2 dozen the other. too many factors but money in the bank is always a good thing :D |
Well ok, how about an LS1 DS vs. 10 bolt?
The DS seem to be breaking more often than 10bolts. |

Ahh feck. Ok my bad.

yeah if i didnt have a 9'' my rear wouldve puked its guts.
|
Man, I do not wanna save up this summer for a damn rear end. Ugh.

then break rears all summer long and eventually spend all the money that you couldve saved for a nice rear. |
LOL. Thank you. Maybe I will, maybe I will...
|
Strange makes a nice 12-bolt piece for the street for about $2000. Expensive but worth it. Better to deal directly with strange.
|
i dont want to spend my money on transmissions either once all the engine mods are done. but hey, if you wanna play you gotta pay

Ugh, this may be a painful summer.... :-? |
Flip a coin... Heads the shaft tails the rear. Or better yet, the rear locks up and snaps the drive shaft at the same time!
Look for a Strange 12bolt/driveshaft package deal coming from JS Performance this summer... |
package deal.....NOICE!!!

hmmmmmmmmmmm
i was launching at 6k rpm on slicks last year on the 10bolt and stock aluminum DS, it was fine also, i heard the stock aluminum LS1 ds is stronger than the stock steel ds |
