LT1 Whipple

Seems like BLS isnt the only one out there developing stuff for the lt1 cars. This should be pretty sweet once its finished. Guy says he will have it on the car for testing in the next week or so...

Supposedly it will all fit without any clearance tricks.

Looks like a huge waste of resources if he plans on making money on it.

Otherwise, old news BLS and FFB.. old news

Some people just like to do things different. I'm aware of the older setup but this looks pretty good. PD blowers are pretty attractive from an install standpoint as well as making for fun drive with the instant torque. Am I considering switching my setup for it? Hell no but I can appreciate an effort like this.

The Fapfest Opti-Destroyer 9000?

zraffz 02-19-2012 11:31 AM

Why couldn't you just start out with a SBC intake manifold that was setup for a supercharger and cut out your own center plate to mate the supercharger to the intake?

And you still have to worry about getting it to fit under a stock 4th gen cowl like the pic in the OP.

People do sbc intake conversions all the time on lt1 heads.

This. This is just pure sex. I might need new pistons.....

And what is the largest difference? SBC to LT1 is easier than LT1 to SBC; you have a thermostat area and a different bolt pattern... what else is stopping it?
