			... For my car     no more ghetto ass fake ****, I finally ponied up and bought a real K&N FIPK, I got a sweet deal on it through work.  Now all Im waiting for is a MSD Opti from Summit, it says next week...

			Why'd you go with the K&N one?? I hate thatnasty ass corner/bend it has in it (there it goes above/around the radiator) and also how it bottlenecks itself... but better than nothing I guess

I said the same thing myself but for a $150 bucks you can't complain for a brand new system from a trusted brand name.

			SS and WS6 hoods never got the insulation. kasey, i believe the rest still came with it up until '02.

 |  non vented opti's were in f-bodys from 93-94.  Vented Opti's were from 95-97.  After 3 years of the optispark, gm realized that moisture got in and ruined them.  So adding a vent line that goes to the CAI, keeps it drier.

			I havent seen them on Fiber glass hoods ever, but I think that is due to #1, its an aftermarket deal, and #2, they might disapate or not abosorb heat like a steel hood does.  My Maxx has it.
