I don't kow if I trust the trans in the Jeep that much and I am still a few paychecks from having the cash to rebuild it. If there is a seat available you know I am willing to be spotter

Your ram runs and drives reliably, my Jeep......not so much. lol
It is fine for highway trips, but I already got the trans hot enough to start slipping just playing around in the little neighborhood stuff so I doubt it will survive a Wharton trip

Wow i am surprised that an AW4 trans is failing. I have never seen one fail yet. My 89 with 250k still had the trans shifting perfectly.

I did two filter and fluid changes and it is much better. Just getting even mildly stuck in anything heavy and I can hear and feel it slipping

you know that is what the trans tech at my shop said for me to do if either one of my cherokees transmission were to act up. he said that is all that he has ever really had to do to them besides when they sucked in water from off-roading or the extremely rare failure.
