				 I swear i called it...

So tonight at around 11:30pm, while i was driving home on the back roads i was coming up on to traffic so i switched off my high beams, when a blue flash happened and my passenger low beam headlight blew. When that happened i knew i would attract attention to myself so i slowed to the speed limit and set the cruise knowing that i will probably get pulled over by the time i get home.I got within 2 miles of my house and i passed a cop. I watched him in my mirrors and sure enough he turned around and raced up behind me. He pulls me over and before he can even ask license and registration i say "let me guess it is because my headlight is out" I give him my information and he says he pulled me over for the headlight. I explain the story and that if he saw me ten minutes ago it would have been working. He checked my license which is clean and said he was giving me a warning.
If i got a ticket i would have fought it. I mean I had no chance to fix it due to it blowing out on the same exact drive that he pulled me over. I must have jinxed myself for this but whatever, it just shows that the cops are looking hard to get any tickets written that they can.

If that were the case, wouldn't you have gotten a ticket?

happened to me too...just be honest with police officers and make sure you keep your hands where they can see them, and be respectful. the honesty alone means a lot in their books.

yeah it all worked out for the best. I am not complaining that he pulled me over. He is just doing his job. I just found it somewhat funny that it blew ten minutes prior and that i had the feeling that i would get pulled over before i made it home

You know i had the exact same thing happen to me...except i didnt know my low beam burn out because i was in a well lit area when the cop pulled me over...I told him it was working before i left the house and if it was out i wouldnt have driven the car. He was really chill about because my inspection was over due at the time and my windshield was cracked. I was completely honest with him though and he said that if i lied to him he would have impounded my car.
