kind of a dumb question..

the windshield wipers on my camaro operate at one speed only. anybody know what type of part i would need to make it operate on different speeds?

for some reason im deathly afraid of getting caught in the rain. thanks guys

i don't know about 3rd gens but this might work

do you have just a low speed? cuz that link is just really a delay. i thought 3rd gens would have a low and high at least. or delay, low, and high. is yours not functioning correctly?

wipers can be tough. I suggest finding a real shop manual and trouble shooting. Probably a bad switch.

RainX & low speed

when I replaced the motor in my 2nd gen, I found out that the speeds depend on the motor. If you replace the motor, make sure to get one with delay.

Correct, options matter. The later 3rd gens are a different style, but the early 3rds had an older style setup, like the 2nd gen. All sorts of crap there to go wrong. Park mechanisms, blah blah blah. Hate them.

Yea, My '87 is a two speed wiper setup and I bought a newer delay motor and a new turn signal stalk to swap in.

Yeah, but with rain-x, after a while the windshield gets hazy. I never noticed it until i drove in a car without, as I usually use it on my cars. I thought it was my eyes, but turns out it was the rain-x

It's like wax, you have to buff it and maintain it.

I would think wax would affect the optics of the windshield because it's significantly thicker than rain-x. I'm no scientist, though.
