Correct, it was either 90 or 91, 92, and 93 that got the 4L60, then in 94 it went to the 4L60e

I was always under the impression that up till 93 had the 700..but i guess im wrong

If the 4L60 was a 700R4, why not call it the 700R4?

A reluctor gear is pressed onto the tailshaft. The PCM then converts the signal to a speed. The PCM is programmed with the vehicles gear ratio, so a rear swap mandates reprogramming the PCM for accurate readings.

It's just a name change, GM does it alot. And I don't know where you got that info, but '93 still had the 700R4/4L60, not the 4L60e.

It's just a name change, GM does it alot. And I don't know where you got that info, but '93 still had the 700R4/4L60, not the 4L60e.
