Picked up another skiff this weekend!

After making a mistake and selling the speed skiff to try and buy a 1970 Z28 (which wasn't as nice as described and , I regretted selling it and realized how much fun it was so I decided to look for another one. This boat is actually cleaner than the other one and runs just as strong. After driving my other one, I forgot what it's like to be a passenger when we took it out. The handle really is needed!

I actually have an extra hatch cover with it. The boat apparently had a blower motor in it and was making 800 hp before that motor blew up. I can't imagine 800 hp in a 16' boat.

It now has Brodix heads/different cam and is now shooting for 800 hp.

I caught a few of the races on Sunday at Barnegat Bay. JS-03 was "The General" and painted like the Dukes of Hazard Charger. Some of those skiffs are sick...

The garveys had some good close races. They were missing a lot of boats this weekend due to breakage already. I had my skiff out on the Delaware River both Saturday and Sunday. I took a couple of locals out for a ride and they were saying "wow, that's a crazy ride!" I told them we weren't even close to the top speed because I'm still getting used to driving it. It's a blast to drive, even at a nice smooth 40 mph.

 | Be careful Jeff, 35 mph is the speed limit in the river and NJSP has quite a few boats out there!

Here's the spare hatch cover from when one of the previous owners ran a blower motor in it. 800+ hp is insane, but he said that motor was rebuilt and is now living in a drag Camaro!
