it a stock bore 93 engine. it was supposedly out of a police car. the guy put a new crank in it and bearings, reringed it and i bought the shortblock. i added vortec heads and performer rpm intake and i put in a roller cam out of a 95 lt1 in it. i would estimate it around 370 hp and atleast 9.75:1. could be closer to 10:1, but i don't know how to figure it out. it runs good on 87 octane. i don't experiance any pinging. i'm running a recurve kit in the dist. and the engine ran best with 33degrees total timing.
Id be intrested in the top end, and will sell the bottom end if its a good deal, other wise im just going to buy the whole motor and throw it in the car intill I have money to do what i want with the 400sbc.

is this a motor you have or something you are looking to get?
if you don't have it in your posession yet, i don't think it is a god idea to sell parts off of it.

LT1 cams still have a distributor gear on them. That's why several 305 guys use them for a cheap upgrade from the stock 3rd gen peanut cams.

I just needed some one to be intrested in getting the shortblock from me, before I went a head and got it.

no selling parts you don't have. it isn't fair to let members count on you for parts that may or may not come through and may or may not be in a reasonable condition for their purposes.
part it out after you have everything in your posession.
