one of those "holy #@$!, nice car" moments..

I was at work a couple days ago, almost ready to go home. I looked out the window, and my jaw dropped. I immediately said "holy ****!" not caring who was around me. Pulling into the parking lot was a navy blue Lotus Esprit V8 twin-turbo! I stared as the car pulled up to our store, and the driver got out. I work at an organic food place, by the way. When the driver walked into the store, I was the first one to help him out. when he left, the door stayed open for a few minutes as I waited to hear the car merge back onto the highway. I nearly jizzed myself when he went full throttle. I've never seen a Lotus before (except at the NY auto show), so this was pretty sweet.

good doesn't begin to describe it.

it's a small V8 (3.5 liters), so it doesn't rumble. it does, however, have a roar when you lay the hammer down. 350 HP in an exotic supercar can do wonders

I raced a lotus esprit from a slow crawl. It was white and had a young chick driving it with a guy in the passenger seat. I was just playing around because I wanted to hear it accelerate. After a minute or so of taunting she bit and we took off. She got a half car lead but since we couldn't do any high speed (road was 30mph) I took her to 50 and was 2 cars or more ahead. Very nice car though, I love the design. They run GM electronics, guys why I know :P .
I'd take a Lotus over a GTO because in that car it isn't about the speed or the leg room... it's about the style.

Lotus is nice....and yes they used GM electronics since for some time Lotus was part of GM (LT5 anyone?).....but nothing tops the Hard-On Factor like a 1967 GTO in Ferrari Red. Lowerd and on 17's with a 455 Pontiac, backed by a 6spd and 12 bolt with big Baer brakes.....yeah baby. 8)

Reminds me of when I caused a near 10 car pile up when I saw a Porsche Carrera GT parked on the side of the road, and some guy taking pictures of it.
By far the best was when I saw a row of Ferrari's in the city...sweet lord.
