gauge cluster question

is it possible for me to put a different gauge cluster in my jeep? Right now I have a bunch of idiot lights, a gas gauge and a speedometer. I've seen other chreokees with tachs, oil pressure and volt gauges. I want to get one of those but I dont know if it will just swap over or not. I dont really care how much work is involved, I just want to know how to do it. I've never really messed with gauges before. thanks.

look online for a pin-out schematic and you will knowwhat is involved. most likely you have all the wires unde your dash, just that your cluster doesn't use all of them. that is the way most cars are.

What year is your Cherokee? You could check out www.jeepforum.com - that's the latest forum I've joined since I bought my '01. They seem to have a pretty decent knowledge base without too much drama.
