I was down at the diner with my friend Jenn, and you could hear the sweet sweet sounds of rt.37. Good thing Jenn is a car girl, cause she kept looking out the window as much as I did to see all the cars fly buy.
After she went home I figured Id head up and down 37 and see all the fun.
I did see fbodies parked at Stop and Shop, a few cars that I know when I was coming down but then after they werent there. But, there was a large group of Mustang owners....along with a brand new 05 Mustang GT, silver.
I circled down to the big Wawa, then back around again. I started my turn again, and there was a 04 Cobra that was just so f'ing mean, it sounded as if it used my speakers in my car to amplify the noise! Then the sound of the KB blower high pitched whistle...I knew this was no bolt on Cobra. Next to this was a little white Evo. As we roll onto 37, there is a little fleet of Lightnings, 3 old ones and one newwer one.
They line up...Cobra rapes them, jail house style. Evo must have missed a gear, cause it just stopped about less then 100ft. 04 Cobra runs on down the road.
We get near the Stop and Shop again, and here come the mini fleet of Mustangs....
*to note: Toms River has a very large crowd of Mustangs, almost TOO large. Its becoming epidemic in this area, and the sight of fbodies would be welcomed.
... anyway 05 Mustang lines up with the Evo...and in the left lane, what seems to be a brand new Maserati Spyder rolls up to the line and revs.
Light drops, and off they go. Spyder smoke the 2, Evo next, and 05 Mustang falling far back.

I was very disappointed with teh Mustangs performance. It also doesnt look very good on the street, very heavy and fat if I must say so. The 04 Cobra looked so much better then the new 05 Mustang. I still think Ford took the wrong road, but sales are showing otherwise...but we will have to see 2-3 years down the road.

I almost went down last night....I was there 4 of the last 5 Saturday nights, last week's Fuel Slut turnout at Stop 'N Shop was awesome until we got thrown out LOL. 8)

hmmm, so the regular TR saturday night has started up again. maybe i will have to make it down there and actually see some of the action this year

al, what time do you usually head out to tr? maybe we cna meetup at your house next weekend and cruise down together.

That sounds good. My boss and my coworker also want to come down and hang out. We were talking about it today at work, and they both want to come down and see what its all about.

I usualy get off of work at 9-930, eat something and get down there 1030-11.

usualy Iget down around 11ish.

I think this weekend is gunna be crappy, so it might not be a good weekend ot meet up.

So are we up for Stop and Shop Saturday night? My boss and coworker are probably gunna come with me. My boss has a GTP coupe and my coworker has a 300Z, but wont bring it down in fear of the cops.
