Yea...so i graduated
I graduated high school last night. It was a retarded weather situation...rain/sun/rain/sun. Overall it was an awesome experience. I was at the top of the world, I graduated 11th in my class of 654 I think. So, naturally you can all understand my excitement, and my want to have fun with the car. Well, I park in a CVS parking lot across from the stadium at which we graduate, just happened to be near some ricers. I didn't think anything of it. Well, as I'm leaving, my brother tells me to wait for him, so I do so. While waiting, I back up, and move forward (I had a lamp post in front of me about 2 feet, if i had just moved forward I wouldda hit it). After moving forward I felt happy so I decided I wanted to swing my ass around to get repositioned. I tried to do so, but it stuck. Strange. I heard a weird noise while doing it too. Hm. So I see my brother pull up behind me and I get ready to go, when all of a sudden he comes right up along side of me saying "Dan stop! your tire is flat!"
Yea, my f-ing 1.5 year old BFG g-force kdws driver side rear tire was flat as all hell. Naturally I'm pissed. Get AAA on the phone for a tow. After that was taken care of, my brother and I began inspecting. Dead center of the tire tread, perfectly flat into the tire, you could see a nail head.
I believe someone had wedged it in there so that when I moved, the nail went in and the air went out. Focking people. I dont think there is any way in hell I could have ran over a nail without knowing it and have it be in there that perfectly. I have ears out to see if anyone brags, then they will get theirs if someone did vandalize my car. Jealousy is a bitch and a perfect way to end a great night.
Project graduation was alright...we went to Jillians by Franklin Mills, it was cool, just I'm a tad tired as I haven't slept since 2 nights ago.
I'm gonna mount my spair BFG radial t/as on the rear for now...I'm gonna be getting new rears soon, and use the other good one as my spare.
Would anyone have a rim or a pair of rims (16" IROCs) that theyd be willing to sell? I need one to mount a tire on so I can have a full size spare.

Ahhh, the first step to the beginning of the end of your life! Just kidding. I wouldn't overreact to the nail in the tire. I found 2 nails in one of my GSC's one time, a key stuck in my 454 pickup tire, a screw in my Firestone. There's a lot of crap out there on the roads and in parking lots and it probably was an accident. It still doesn't make it any cheaper to fix unfortunately.

thanks guys.
i dismounted the tire earlier, removed the nail, and patched it. supposedly the patch will last the length of the tire. if thats the case, cool. i still am thinking about new rear tires though. maybe some g-force KDW or drag radials.
j0n how much would you want for the rim? for my DR id want some nicer rims or whatever, but for a full size spare as long as its a 16x8 im down. let me know.

I didnt catch it but was your graduation at least outside? Must have been nice if it was. My graduating class was the first in like 7 years to have a graduation inside.
Congras.

yeah it rained on my prom and my graduation, and then again on my best friends the next year.....
he was drivin from his prom to the post prom in the rain in his integra, and ended up on a street with a puddle so big it should have been a flood....and the cops wouldnt let him turn around, ended up hydrolocking the motor.....
that car was set up for drag/autocross and looked bone stock on the outside, with a built bottom end and a supercharger.....ran 13.1's on street tires, back in 02 before the rice movement began
