Thanks man, yeah my setup has gotten MANY compliments on the way it shoots, I have outshot alot of high dollar guns not in speed, but accuracy and distance. With my gun i dont have the need to use alot of paint like other friends do, cause its usually one shot to take the person out. Youre 98 looks awesome too. Ill let you know the next time were gonna get a game going and whoever wants to come can. Take it easy!

Jon

skirmish has 800 acres' worth of fields. two castle fields (Tippmann and Dye), a hyperpipe field, a Vietnam-style firebase field, etc. etc. that's just a small sampling. Skirmish is probably the best field on the East Coast.

not even close to the best... but i guess for newbies they are nice its fun like role playin ones i guess.... relaly depends on the ref you get.. and whichh fields he pics.. althoughu can request certain ones.....

the BEST field out there is in the middl oe PA called http://www.emrpaintball.com/

emr... they had a castle WAY before skirmish.. its a LONG drive but they offer to put you up for the night for free when you go.. and WOW those fields are fun.. they even have some TUNNELS underground there.. its amazing they have a ghost town field too like back in the western days and such.. also a lot of speedball .. its just amazing

well, here's the report.
Got held up in traffic so I missed the caravan, but i still went up there with my buddy. We didn't see any EVO's or STi's so we played as walk-on's. We both purchased Tippman Custom 98's(from what I hear, good beginner marker). Had a blast playing, and even though we paid for 1/2 day, the ref said he didn't care and we could play full day.
I took a shot to the head and knuckles and all I have to say is Airsoft hits make paintball hits tickle.(i took a 400fps bb from 5 feet, and 350fps from about 1 inch)
But lemme know when you guys are playing, now that I have my own stuff, I'd be down for anything.

Good gun choice! If you want some ideas modding it when it comes to it, let me know...I wanna play ASAP...gotta get Compressed tanks certified and buy new CO2 since mine are all outdated now.

great choice sikbyrd! the 98 is definitely a great beginner gun. i wouldn't give mine away for the world. check out www.pbreview.com for available mods and reviews and ratings on each one. that should help you out in deciding what to do with it.
