The back floor on the passenger side of my T/A is soaked. No water under the back seat, or the front seat, or anywhere else. Just the well where your feet go is soaked.

I lifted the carpet and pulled the rubber plug to let the water out. Now I didnt see any wet areas around the t-tops. Plus, the 4th gen t's have the channel that allows the water to drain out the body of the car right. Same with the back hatch. And the tops are latched and seated correctly.

Im clueless, so I guess I'll have to take the trim panels off and go at it with a garden hose. BTW, I haven't driven it for a few weeks, so It cant be from splashing from underneath.

there is a pass through where the HVAC controls go through the firewall. craig was getting a little bit of water in his pass foot well and we found that the plug was out when we were doing weight reduction.

I think it is far fetched to believe that my back seat footwell would be collecting water from the firewall when the car has been sitting with the hood closed. Ill look though.

ok, i ripped the carpet out. right now its laid out in the sun drying. you may be right to a point tim cause the passenger front insulation is damp also. tomorrow im gonna hose it down and see what i come up with.

If you havent driven it in a few weeks it probably isnt the HVAC. That usually only collects moisture when the AC is on. It might be the cowl drain though. Try pouring water down the windshield and check inside the car to see if thats where its coming from.

The T-Top drain passages might be clogged with crap, so those might not be draining properly. Again, hose it and check. Good luck with it man, any more questions or revalations, let us know.

Somewhere under the wiper cowl, its dripping down the corner of the footwell near the blower motor. Not sure where but its in that area.

there should be a drain tube under the cowl area. try to find it and check if its clogged up. If it is, you should be able to take the drain tube off the car and clear it out. you might want to take the cover off the cowl and make sure there isnt a bunch of garbage in there. glad I could help out.

My car has the same problem but it isnt as bad as it used to be and i have come to the conclusion that its the windshield moulding so when i get it painted ill have it done.

Update:

The cause:
When I added wires for my guages and fan switch, I ran them through the grommet behind the PCM. Water is running down the wires through the grommet, and onto the floor.

Solution:
Ill try some RTV or something and god it there to seal them up. Hopefully it will work.

that should work I know we use RTV for leaks at work (chrysler dealership). let us know if it works.
