Does this sound like a good deal?

I can get a used 4T65E trans pulled from a 98 Grand Prix GT for $350 shipped...55k miles on it, 60 day parts guarantee from the day i buy it.

60 day guarantee sounds better.

if you guys feel like dropping the whole front cradle in a driveway then be my guest...and i cant buy you beer but i can give you money for it

its a PITA to take out...much harder than a RWD car.

It's not that much harder, just some tighter spaces to work in....as long as a few guys with skinny arms are around, it's a cakewalk.

Even easier if you have a hoist, you can yank the engine and trans right out of the top....

JUSTIN...

well first if you go and try to drop the cradle in the driveway your gonna have a hellacious time not that it cant be done, but pulling the motor and trans out the top is even more work yet, if it was me id drop the cradle but if Â*I was you, id take it to somebody and get it done>only because ive done it so many times to know which way to go plus i had a lift and it was hard enough. once a buddy and i got an SHO motor and trans swap done in Â*6 hours(not that it was worth it) Â*but it took practice it took 22 Â*hours to do a motor and trans swap on the fiero

Fiero = little bitty space

W-body = more space

I know guys that do engine/tranny swaps out of the top of their 1st and 2nd gen w's between lunch and dinner. These guys have had practice, so they know exactly what needs to be done, etc - however there is no reason that the trans couldn't be swapped on a Saturday if he wanted to go that route.
