Yaple Motorsports Season Ending Wreck

bad night at new egypt last night. after finding a new car and sinking every penny he had into it in only 4 weeks randy's season is over.
during time dashes the same ******* that planted teh old car decided to make a sudden line change in the middle of the back stretch. it sent randy airborn. when he landed teh car skipped and hit teh outside gaurdrail very hard.
randy is ok. bump and bruised pretty good. the car is a total loss. teh impact was actually so hard that even his kirkey racing seat got bent a bit.
needless to say mike bent, teh driver who caused the accident, is not mr. popular with us or anyone else involved with the sportsman cars right now.
before we even left teh track last night he had been confronted by other drivers and before we got home from dropping the remains of teh car back at teh shop there was already a thread ripping him on the south jersey dirt forums.
randy's season is definately over. now we have to regroup and work on sponsorship and equipment to head into next season with.

we plan to be at teh track next weekend. not looking for a confrontation specifically, but if bent tries to say a signle word to any of us he is gonna get his teeth punched out through his ass.
randy has a line on a pretty much turn key operation for next season. it is a good deal on a feature winning car and a good honest driver/owner to get everything from.
hopefully we can get everything set up now and as soon as the season ends we can get our hands on the car and start getting ready for next season.
first priority will be creating and distributing one kick ass sponsorship proposal for him. winning the rookie championship and having a good number of competitive laps under his belt shoudl make it easier to find a few strong sponsors and hopefully we can talk him into keeping the club somewhere on the door for another season as well

that is the most important issue at hand, you know. keeping the club name on his car... :P

i think i'd like to be involved somehow next year. i've got the time, all i need is the commitment. perhaps if i were to get involved before the end of this season and learn something, i might be worth something to the team next year... hmmm, what to do?

Got any plans for this Saturday evening? We'll be more than happy to meet you down there and show you around

Most of the people who are posting on the South Jersey Dirt Racing forum seem to be supporting Randy in this. One driver who was sitting in the infield witnessed Randy and Mike make eye contact before the wreck, and also said that Mike gave Randy the finger.

I think a good game plan would be to take out that f*cker early in the season. Easiest way of doing this legal is to form a "clearing team" that takes him out early in every race. It'll be a beat to ***** car used just to take him out . Or the car could just get infront of him and cut him off to slow him down until HE causes the wreck. Sponsorship for the wrecking team could come from a recycling/junk yard 8)

The only problem with that plan is that there aren't very many cars out there that you could use to slow this guy down....he's not exactly a "driver" if ya know what I mean. Randy was not nearly the fastest out there when he had the old car, and he drove around Mike then. From what I heard the new car was TONS faster than the old one (Randy made up a whole straightaway on this guy in less than 1/2 a lap).

the real problem is that the 88 isn't actually going fast enough to damage much equipment, even if you do plant him in the wall. he may have enough momentum to bend a bumper or rub rail. lol
i am gonna head up to the shop in a bit to help randy sort out the damage. we are making two piles, for sale at the swap meet and recycling.

i could do that. do i need to pay an entrance fee, or am i part of the team and need to kick in a few bucks for the team entry? i dunno how this works, is why i am asking. that and cash is fairly tight so i'd need to budget a weekly expense, if need be.

as far as the eye contact and the finger, this guy needs to be taught a lesson. a blanket party is the perfect motivational tool for pricks like him.

it costs $25 to get into the pits for the evening or you can pay $16 to sit in the regular bleachers and then come into teh pits after racing ends to check things out.

i just got home from teh shop. with the body of teh car things are much worse than we even thought. we knew that almost everything bolted to teh chassis was broken adn that the front clip was bent.
we found out that the rear clip was bent and that the rear housing was actually pushed most of the way through the tubing
all that randy will take with him from the car are his engine, trans, and steering box. 2 wheels are completely trashed, 1 seems to be out of tru, and 1 may be ok.
not a good way to go into the off season at all.

Did he fire the car up to make sure that the engine didn't get hurt at all?
