need my rims to be re-done

I wanna get my 91-92 z28 rims that i got on my car either painted or re-done. they got some pitting coming through and i wanna get them re-done.....any body know a place that can do them or if i could paint them myself, any one got any ideas? let me know thanks

You could use aircraft stripper to get the clear off, then polish out any pitted areas and use high-temp wheel paint to do them over. Plastikote even makes rim paint in a rattlecan now. Just clear over that and it should hold up fine, I think.

i did my base model camaro rims in shinny black and i tapped off the lip and polished it so it looks like black ZR1's. i did em about a year ago n used the car for 3 months until it got parked, but even sittin outside all this time without being cleaned or waxed they still look good

You could use really fine (like 2000 grit) sandpaper to get through the clearcoat, then buff the hell out of it with Blue Magic or Mothers metal polish.
