that sucks. if they bring back real nitro catagories that will deminish the role of the pro mods. IHRA pro mods are much more competitive than the NHRA version.

What it does is give all of the lower budget teams that can't compete with
Prudhomme and Force a place to make make money and more events to run at. NHRA promods just don't cut it, plus your lucky if you get 8 cars to show up.

My favorite with IHRA is Prostock, just love those 800+ CI engines!

I sure hope not, ProMod is my favorite class, and you're correct, IHRA ProMod is much more competitive than NHRA. I wonder why that is? Maybe the payout-to-cost ratio in NHRA isn't good? I know NHRA doesn't advertise or televise ProMod like IHRA does. I'm kinda hoping that with the return of nitro funny cars, they'll leave ProMod on their tv program and pull the top alcohol funny cars. I think when they finally approve turbos for ProMod, that'll really get a lot of interest and many more cars entering in the big events. Any word on when that'll be? I know they've been talking about it for at least the last three seasons.
