lakewood tration action lift bars
has anyone tried them? are they worth it? and do they bolt inplace of the lower control arms?

I've seen a few posts, and generally the comments are negative. They appear to put the suspension in bind, fighting with the torque arm, and have been known to tear themselves apart at the welds.
There are "stock style suspension" 4th Gens pulling 1.2x 60-fts with nothing more than a good set of LCA's, relo brackets and all the other stuff you would normally put on these cars - TA, sway bar, adjustable shocks, sproings, panhard rod, etc. Not sure what advantage the Lakewood bars could offer on a 4th Gen.

I heard the same thing as Injuneer, they're built ****** and not worth the money. I got Spohn LCA's and BMR relocation brackets for Christmas, can't wait to see a difference in my traction.

Not that it matters.....3rd and 4th gen rear suspension designs are identical.

they are made poorly, the geometry is bad, and the fit and finish is poor. other than that they suck.
relocation brackets and good control arms are a much better solution.

Stupid me.... guess I missed the "RIP" following the 94 Firebird in his signature. Not sure what difference it makes though, since the rear suspensions are identical, as already pointed out above. I'll stand by what I said.

I had them on my car shortly before i broke my rear and i have no complaints.. they maybe got 500 miles of use before the rear bit the dust.. only reason i didnt reuse them was because they wont fit around the axle housing of the 9in...ill sell them for 50 bucks...and if the tration bar part doesnt work out it can be removed and you still have nice lakewood boxed lca's

They are junk. As stated before LCA relocation brackets and some good LCAs. After that get yourself a good torque arm. My car has been a best of 1.32 60' on drag radials with the above parts from spohn.
