Took some night shots (56k grab a beer)

me and a friend with his Talon went to a local parking garage for some night shots....unfortunatley the moon wasnt cooperating (it was right above us) but i still got some decent pictures. i think i need to set the shutter speed a bit longer, they came out a bit too dark so i photoshopped them to get some more brightness.









any tips for taking night pictures? this is my first attempt at it, my camera is a Canon A85.

The GP pics look good. Try messin wit the shutter speed more. Its been a while since i've messed with my camera.

try some different angles. shooting from the deck makes for a great shot, but you gotta spice it up a bit with some different angles. try parking outside the parking deck and shooting from the second level.

Use a tripod and set the shutter speed on either automatic w/o flash, or for a long speed. also try and set it to a low aperature if you can (some digitals you can't, i dont know about yours)

Moon light is good, but you can use any light, and try to fill the frame with the car more. get right up as close as you can w/o cutting any parts out.

Also, watch whats going on behind the car. In some of the shots you have a lamp post growing out of the deck lid or hood. Just be on the lookout for those.

well i have a tripod...but its one of those stupid little tiny ones that come with the camera. thats why all the shots were from the deck. if i set the speed to automatic, it always comes out too dark....and yes i can adjust the aperature, i just never really had a chance to figure out what does what on it. thanks for hte tips, ill try them next time....i want to get the moon in the background next time too, if i can.
