March 4th at Englishtown they are having a "High Tech Import VS US Muscle" race. Any one want to go to that? I obviously wont be racing, cause I dont have a cage in the Jeep yet

but I'll go to watch.

i might be down for it.... ill make some of my friends with imports go just to embarrass them .... hopfully i wont come accross any modded stis ect and get beat cuz my car is pretty much stock

i stay away from those events. there are a ton of out of control ricers at them. a few years ago one of my friends got some of his stuff stolen, one year a ricer left his foot on the floor until the last return road and went into the sand hard(2hour delay) and there is at least one major accident in the parking lot involving a ricer doing something stupid and a innocent bystander.

i've seen some of the "experienced" ricers run at E-town.

i don't even feel safe behind the wall watching some of their runs.

I'll probably leave after a few hours anyway. the imports always break and all the down time between runs gets on my nerves.

the one that ended it being any fun for me was when i saw some bone head in a CRX do a hole shot in the pit area directly into teh passenger door of a Z06.

Anyway, I think I go. Maybe Ill get in free, I think BFG owes me something since I push there tires onto everyone that walks in the door. I should get some sort of kick back. Hell, I sold 16-18 BFG's today alone.

ill be there, in the boxes though, my neighbor grew up with the knapps (owners of raceway) i doubt ill have tire by then to run my car no point in running nitrous with no tire =\

my dad is a corvette owner....and i think im more of a prick about my cars then him the tiniest imperfection really bothers me and if someone smashed the side of my car in id prolly kill them (meanwhile im hoping someone hits my truck so i can replace my bumpers with some nice offroad ones)

I HATE THESE RACES!!!!!!! At least 2 out of every 5 ricers down the track breaks and they have to close the track down to clean up after it. You have a bunch of ****ing ***holes that have no idea how to drive, driving around. Last time i was rearended in the staging lanes, my sister in her 05 GT was almost side swiped in the staging lanes, and a few people tried breaking into my mom's vette. It used to be ok but now it is just crazy, I avoid these events like the plague, there are a lot of unsavory people there, although this one is early, it MIGHT be ok, i'd rather not chance it though.

my camaro won't hit the track 'til april anyway. maybe i can roll down in the boat, let some ricer take on my steel bumpers

No because the last batch of stupid people i ran into was in november. It is just that most of the stupid people tend to show up and try to cram all their races in right before etown closes at the end of the year.
