my first z28 was a bone stock 1994 with a LT1 and 147000 miles on it and i put a 150 dry shot on it and sprayed the **** out of (knock on wood) with no problems besides blowing out a header gasket... before i sold the car i probably made around 60-70 passes on the bottle .... just make sure u change your oil and your spark plugs frequently

pretty simple, refresh muffler bearing, blinker fluid flush, and install an O-pipe.

It's not really about the supporting mods. They really have to be done regardless of the miles on the motor. But the LT1 is a high compression motor with very little material at the top of the pistons. So increasing cylinder pressure is dangerous, plain and simple. It's probably a 50/50 chance of blowing a piston when running NOS, turbo or supercharger on a stock LT1. Some people get lucky some people don't. Sure, you can run NOS and not break anything, but you could also lose a piston on the first run. So like I said, be prepared for a new short block if want to run NOS, turbo or supercharger and run it hard.
So you gotta ask yourself, "Do ya feel lucky punk?"

Well, the tune is very important, but that can only help so much. Nitrous will always increase cylinder pressure, which will put stress on the pistons. Since the stock LT1 pistons don't have much material there is a bigger risk. As long as Alex gets a good tune and takes the proper precautions, he is increasing his chances of not having any trouble.
