Up to $10K reward if stolen car is found
UPDATE: Car was found in MASS. Police found it - he was not given details about the condition of the car. I doubt its intact at all but I think we're gonna head up there this weekend to check it out. Sucks.
I remember walking into the impound yard when my 87 TA was stolen. The guy on the phone told me "...yeah, I think the whole thing is here..." Yeah right. It was a shell lying on the ground. I gotta post a picture cause words can't describe. I've cried over women, but never an object before...until I saw that car. Sad day in my life... Hope my buddy didn't have such a love affair with his car. I think his wallet may be crying though....
Original Post:
My buddy has a reward out for his car. The car was stolen from his house in Morristown. He's got close to $40k in the drivetrain alone. The specs on the car are on the lower portion of the page.

Yeah, you're prolly right....or in newark. I got a ride in it during the summer, I couldn't believe how hard the car pulled and it handled like an Enzo. He wasted a Z06 while we were on 287.
When my 87 T/A was stolen, it was found 18 months later at a chop shop set up in West Milford. Its a ****** feeling, and that was the 2nd car stolen from me...1st not recovered.

That really sucks. And you said it was stolen from from his home? Was it parked on the street or did they actually break into his garage and get it?

no west milford is a great spot to have a chop shop...not an industrial area, plenty of spaces to hide your shop...but yeah the car is probably long gone by now...but i'll keep an eye out for it...could always use an extra 10k

ill keep an eye out for it if it helps any, however, you and your friend may want to aslo keep an eye out on ebay for specific parts to surface. if a user is brand new with no feedback and selling 944 parts that could have possibly come from the car, id keep an eye on it. dont jump right away and make accusations cuz if it is them and they realize theyve been made, youll probabkly never see/hear from them again. instead, contact to police give them the ebay info and let them do what they think is the right moves.
the saddest part is that its 90% likey that whoever stole the car had no clue even what they were taking, they probably just saw a nice looking porchse 944 and had no idea abotu the work done...OR thers a chance they saw his car somwhere(his website, pg 4 of photos-its really clear or a show, etc) and copied his plate and came for it. That has happened up in spring valley NY, youll see kids going around writing down plate numbers of specific cars usually rare imports like skylines, evos, etc.

Well at least they found it, so one way or another there will be closure. Do you know if they have any suspects?
