all i can do is laugh about my situation.
to look up and watch the t-top disappear into the night...find it 10 inches from a lawn (perhaps a softer landing)...i think it actually hit a mailbox and thats what destroyed it. the van or SUV behind me didnt get hit either...they were right on my ass at that.

yea but its still cold here, thats what sucks. good thing its sunny tomorrow.

$75 is a deal. I sold a like new set last year for $200
That happened to me on my 82. Crusing down the GSP then 'pop'. Took me a few seconds to figure what happened. I watched it roll a few times down the road, accross the grass medium and then shatter in the express lanes.

Pissed me off. I was going to the camaro-firebird junkyard in patterson to get new interior parts; I came back with t tops.

And you guys wonder why I like my hardtop better! I hardly ever took the t-tops off my 93 Indy Pace Car after a bird just missed crapping all over the interior one day. Plus, I get enough sun beating down on me when I'm in my boat, I don't need any extra while I'm driving.

wow that sucks that happened to my buddy joe (84HOtransam) once.
someone correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the fourth gen t-tops almost unbreakable because there lexan and not glass? I've heard stories of fourth gen t-tops flying off on the highway and not breaking.

91-92 v8 f-body Lexan ttops FTW.. plus they can be painted body color to match.
the 4th gen ones do break, but i think the 95+ ones are a bit stronger than the 93-94 dot matrix versions, which are still stronger than the 3rd gens. Ive owned many ttop f bodys and never had an issue with a ttop popping off if it was latched, i did almost lose one in my gta, but i was driving around town and saw it hopping a little and realized i didnt latch it earlier.

i think i have 3 or 4 passenger side ttops and only 1 drivers side left after selling them to people who had this happen to them as well.
