Mmm Nice, 2 1/2 month old exhaust = done

Yep ... the good ol' Pypes took a massive dump on me today on my way home from work... not only does it sound very very loud (in an annoying + earsplitting way), but if you remember those youngster lawnmower toys with the beads and balls bouncing around inside everytime you rolled it on its wheels... well it kinda sounds like that hehe . So Im shopping for me new catback a little early. Going with la Hooker to match the PSP LT's + ORY

Did you get under there to see what happened to it?

I've always heard good things about Pypes....

I heard good things too... I think I just got a case of a faulty muffler.. between 1600 and 2400 RPMS theres a ****load of things banging around in there. Not to mention Im running on a dead cat, but I highly doubt thats the problem. A better way to explain the sound is salsa maracas <lol>

Maybe crap from the cat worked its way back into the muffler, thats what it sounds liek to me... and in that case you shouldnt need a new catback really just a muffler

Yes. $75 still in the box. I was planning on swapping out the entire exhaust from the headers back... but I was planning on it in late May/early June . Looks like I'll be placing a Hooker catback order sooner than expected. LT's + ORY are already here, just need to pass the car thru inspection b4 the end of June, which I might take it in 2 months earlier.

*You can hear it the most on the light down-throttles, behind all the noise u can hear the rasp. It isnt a leak, I did a full inspection up and down the entire exhaust twice. Its coming from inside the exhaust.

Probably, but I got mine under the table new for $75. If I do take it off, it'll probably stay off. I just ordered 3" Hooker Catback. Unless its fixed, itll most likely go in the garbage. Like I said, I got sick of the rasp of the stock exhaust so I got this one cheap, for a quick replacement. PSP LT, PSP ORY, and Hooker Catback ... should start getting installed by early May.
