I have been thinkin of doing something like that for my daily driver. I have a 99 Olds Intrigue with the 3.5. Is that what your car has, or is it a 3.8?

That has teh 3.8. The 3.5 "Shorstar" will probably have the same intake design. And btw, what a sweet motor that is, and what it could have been.

Yeah, the 3.5 is a pretty cool motor, and its rated at 20 mor HP and TQ than the 3.8. Too bad GM never let it evolve and use in other models.

Actualy, there is a big story that goes along with the Shortstar, as wella s the 4.0 Aurora V8, 3.4 DOHC motor and 2.3/2.4 Quad 4 engines.
Ill sum it up in that Olds fronted all that money to make develop and build all these engine programs, having a verbal agreement with the other GM divisions that they would help pay for production after the engine was ready and tested. Well, Olds brought them out, and the rest of GM said "no thanks" and it basicly killed Olds and put it under.
Its sad, because now all the divisions are fighting for the new 3.6 V6 engine, GM's new hi-tech DOHC engine.
