wow. im pissed
So my trans is finally taking a crap. 3rd gear wont hold more than 1/2 throttle, sometimes it wont shift into 3rd....all kinds of fun stuff. A few weeks ago i bought a trans on eBay, got a great deal on it - $250 shipped. I paid the guy, he told me 4 days ago that he shipped it. Tonight i get an email saying this:
Quote:
We are unable to complete the transaction. We have
refunded your money to your account. Sorry. Thank you.
|
So now im out a trans, which my car needs pretty badly, because this guys a ****ing cumguzzling gutterslut.

yeah i got the money back, but im still pissed off because now my car is on the edge of crapping out, and i dont have a transmission on the way to my house. if he didnt lie to me and tell me he shipped it, it wouldnt be as bad.
rebuilding = more money and more downtime

Should have left the "douchebag" part out. Maybe there was a legitimate issue. Either way, he should have explained the situation to you, and not lied to you about shipping the trans.

Sucks man.
www.clubgp.com?
Is it just the bands that are toasted? Ages ago I upgraded the bands to keflar, valve body and shift kit for $500-600
My built tranny though cost me $1200

I dunno man, after hanging around with GTP guys for a while, I wouldnt pay $500 for a 65k mile one, they usually start to go around that area.

my current one has 142k on it...plus theres differences between GTP transmissions and GTs. and chances are GTP transmissions are also abused far more than a GT
plus ill be installing a trans cooler at the same time, so thatll help it out some more

If you want the honest truth, if you want to use your car for more than an A-B car, or grocery getter your out of luck. The GTP transmission sucks ASS. My buddy has a turbo GTP, and his has broken 4x on his before he has made 10+ passes
