Dishwasher from HELLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!1111

well, i missed the cjcfo monthly meet again. my mothers dishwasher blew up a few weeks ago and she ordered a nice new one through lowes(my job) and it came in yesterday.
i decided to skip having her "waste" $160 on the "professional" installation thinking that it is "just a dishwasher". i talked to an older guy i work with who used to be a plumber and appliance installer and has been selling appliances for 20+ years as well. on the "expert" advice that everything about a home dishwasher has been standard for "decades" i happily brought the shiney new mayteg home with plans to slap it in there and head to the meet.
well, that was 3 hours ago, the dishwasher is still not installed, and i need another shower.
it seems that the "standard" that has been used for "decades" followed whatever decade the old dishwasher was made.
after scavenging an adaptor from the old diswasher, afro-engineering the drain to work, and figuring out how the color coding of 30year old wiring compares to 2006, i jsut need a piece of flexible line to complete the task.
so off to the enemy...err...umm... i mean......home depot i drive to get the line. geuss what i found at home depot!?!?!?! YET ANOTHER REASON TO HATE HOME DEPOT!!!!
after not getting any help locating the proper flex lines, and not finding a single label that seemed to describe them, i was guided to a box full of plumbing connectors and lines and told "look in there and see what you can find" WTF?!?!?!?!
you can geuss how happy i was to hear this helpful bit of customer service. my reaction, i tipped the ****ing box all over the floor and said "i don't see it" and walked away.
sicne the dishwassher install went so f'ing well, i went outside and enjoyed the weather by mowing the lawn.

You should have come out with us.

Damn Jeff, you are a dirty hippie. Or more likely, a cheap bastard trying to pay for his car habit some way.
