Horsepower calculator
I was bored so i looked up the calculators that spit out wheel horsepower given your et, trap speed, and raceweight.
They spit out between 332-337 rwhp, or 381-387 at the flywheel out of my vert...can this be right??? Only "power mods" the car has is a full exhaust, cold air intake, and mail-order tune...can these mods really add this much power

They are off, your car should be making around 300-310 rwhp at the most. My ls1 only makes 320 rwhp and runs a best of 12.5. Drive train loss on a stick may vary from 10-15% and with an auto 15-20%
So your FWHP maybe between 330-350, I would tend to lean towards the lower number since I have seen people with the Lt4 kit only make 330 rwhp.

i dont think those calculators are acurate due to the fact they dont take gearing into consideration. they are more accurate for cars closer to stock

most of the calculators are intended to represent maximum power required to attain a specific trap speed. never use any calculator that bases results on ET, they are even less accurate.
some people have also told me that most formulas are closer to the power at the flywheel than at the wheels. i ran it through the formula i use and came up with 349hp(counting on your car being around 3800lbs) 349 * .8 (average 20% drive train loss) = 279.2 rwhp. which consiudering how few mods you have isn't an unrealistic number for your car.

ive been trying to figure out how any of this makes sense, i know people who have engine dynoed well over 500hp and they cant catch me or barely do. to tell you the truth rwhp doesnt mean **** to me anymore. unless of course i figure this all out...

That is very strange then but those rear wheel horse figures can't be right based on the times or else the car must have run the 1/4 broke something and then have been dynoed..
