People jumped on you because you were saying that you had 300 hp plus a 150 shot and the car ran 10s. That implies that you raced it, which you cannot legally do. Since you didn't explain yourself, people assumed that you were lying, and they got on your case for it.

Can't really make a prediction anyway since we really don't know much of anything about either car.

You may want to re-think that unless you are talking 1/8 miles or have alot of weight reduction or more mods then you are saying. I'm not trying to bust your balls but a full weight 2nd gen is going to probably need 550-600 horse to hit 10's.

plus its a late 2nd gen (???)...youre starting off with a 17 maybe 16 second car, more than likely the former though, which is right where a stock civic would run

I just find it interesting how you can pull numbers out of mid air... the TA is not a 10 sec car and has never seen tens, especially with the 301 it previously had, and since you put the 350 in it, i doubt daddy raced it for you. And btw, yes you are a liar.. somehow. you are either 16, or 26 since you claim to be both on different places on the web. You also claim to be from jackson nj, i wonder if anyone on the board from there has seen/not seen your car(s) around. You also seem to ask WAY too much about what others think you car will beat in a race. Your lack of proper spelling and use of improper terms, aka nitrous pack, leads me to believe you are a kid and you dont know what you are talking about. So in that case, yes i do know a whole lot more than you. You also claim you own a '07 denali... interesting. get off the web, get a real life, learn some real stuff about cars then come back. Wayfast84 can do more/better work on a car than you probably. You might as well own a 77 grand prix or some crap like that.

So stop with the BS and people wont "jump" on you. /thread

really ss. do you have something against me? like i said before, i never was talking **** about you, and I'll call the parts on my car what ever the hell I want. and you say "get off the web, and get a life"? I'm not the one combing the web to find a person with the sreen name rafterman just so I can come on and make my self look like more of an ass by "throwing down the BS card". truthfully, I rele don't need to explain ANYTHING to you. but I'll take timeout of my day so i can try and make you look uninformed instead of a dick. and as for i ask WAYto many questions about who can beat whom, I have asked about a 66 t-bird and now this. also, what does wayfast84 have to do with this? I think you need to take a deep breath and get your thoughts together before you start talking **** about other people.

nah I had like 6 stages.

I had to return it cause it stopped working, the company said i had a 10 ib bottle, i weighed it and it wasnt 10 ibs so i got my money back.

I got a camshaft for it, i cant use it though, it was like $450 if u want to win, this cam will give u like 10-30 hp depending on ur heads, ill sell it to u for $400!!!

My brain is bleeding out my ears. Please tell me you are just messing around.

Rafterman, we need some real specs. As in what's on the car as it sits. Don't bother with numbers or anything like that... a list of parts will do fine since most of us can guess where you are at reasonably well. Nothing personal, but WAY too many people come onto these boards pulling numbers out of their ass.

We can start with some basics:

1.) Chevy or Pontiac 350?
2.) Carb?
3.) Manifold?
4.) Headers?
5.) Camshaft?
6.) Transmission/Torque converter stall speed if it's auto?
7.) Rear axle ratio? Positraction/Limited slip differential?
8.) Tire brand and size?

hahahahaha you quoted me in your sig, that is hilarious.
To be honest, ok so i was a bit harsh at first, but its all too common to see a newb show up and start bragging before even letting others know the car or showing us that you know what you're talking about. Matt went through it and learned the hard way, lol, but now hes much more accepted. Just give us specs of your car, exact sizes of parts etc, and we'll giev you an honest answer.

As for the honda, if hes putting down 260whp, thats one fast import, and with a heavy 2nd gen, i woudl put my money on him.

Despight my lacking of involvment anymore throughout my few months of research I found that... 300whp in a gen1 motor fbody car is: ta da a mid to low 13. As already said a civic is much lighter making less power worth more...

Seeing as how your car probably weighs in around 3400 or 3500 pounds and his at 2100 (1800 if its a hatch) means that with the same rwhp hes running 0.8-1.2 seconds faster than you. Like everyone said give some specs on your motor, trans, rear. If hes steep geared and your running little comuter car 2.73's then that also makes a huge difference. Chances are hes a tuner boy and drives a stick (I would hope) which means that if your car is auto (without a kit/converter) hes got you off the line not even factoring in gears. See theres so many more things to it that, I'm 300whp hes 260whp who wins?

As far as your comment about nitrous vs cam and money equally horse thats a stupid comparison. I'm pretty sure that $400 cam which is probably really $250 is a much better investment than a go fast for 3 seconds button. Internals>nitrous always...

btw what is a turbo exhaust? Are you talking about a remote mount turbo system that replaces your muffler with a turbo? Is that factored into your claims for rwhp? Is your motor tuned to prevent turbo lag? Have you taken into accout the period where you only have say 200hp because your turbo isnt spooled?

This is all coming from someone who knows a grain of sand of knowledge compared to the beaches these guys are ready to dump on your around here...

I wasn't going to say it , but now that the cat's out of the bag-

It sure doesn't look like there is a roll bar in the pic. Some tracks will let you slide if you run slightly under 11.49, but a 10.xx will have you bounced. You will get to run it- once.
