Yes thats what i want to do -- retrieve pictures from the film -- but it can only be seen on a projector -- but i dont have a super 8 movie projector any longer -- i have a regular 8 projector and years back i was told not to use it for super 8 film it tares it ??????????? so i need some one who has the ability to project the film and stop and take pictures i guess ???????? -- jz

Well, if its Super 8 ... pardon my inexperience with them cuz I am almost 22 years old ... cant the film be taken to say a photo place, and they take the negatives and turn them into pictures?

If u had a projector then u can set up a miniDV camera under the projector and film it. I am 100% sure there were no such thing as FireWire ports on projectors 40+ years ago I am pretty sure it will be expensive if u take it to have it professionally done. Thats the only thing i can think of without the possibility of damaging the movie.

All of work is done in house here in Utah with the exception of the old 8mm, Super8, and 16mm movie film which is transferred at the Chandler Arizona facility. We do not outsource any work out of state let alone out of the country as some other companies do.

There is a place in Flemington that can probably help you. The name escapes me though, I'll look it up.
