Another Great Racing Event......
......will be checked off the list soon. i have a list of some of the greatest races in the world that i want to see in my life and i jsut got tickets to another one.
my brother, WRXDriver, and i will be heading down to sebring florida for the 55th annual 12 hours of sebring.
i got the "super pass" which means i have access to a lot of the grounds and i will be able to get up pretty close to the cars. it is the same type of pass some of you have heard me talk about from my trips to the 24 hours of daytona.
all the hotels i am looking at have free interweb, so hopefully i will be sober enough at some point each day to offer some sort of recap of what happened
long term weather outlook is predicting a wet larch, maybe i will get to see some real excitement watching the C6-R and G6.R perform in the wet.
i think audi is supposed to be campaigning the diesel again too(yes phil, i plan to take a lot of pics) which wil be cool. i wanna know what 1780ft/lbs sounds like puling a open cockpit prototype down the straightaway
/super happy rant

Tim, im freakin jealous bro, your gonna have blast at the 12 hrs. wish I could be there, maybe ill go next year when Peugeot shows their new diesel P1 car, something that will finally stop those damn audis from running away. and the sudis are suprisinglt quiet by the way, but sound nasty none the less. And if Frank Freon is racing there, tell him your a jersey native, he owns and lives in south jeresy, not too far from mee, pumkin autosales, cool guy.

I ment audi's it was late last night when i was typing this, and no not formula 1, i think its highly overrated, I mean yeah sure their at the pinnacle of automotive design and technology, but the cost of one is astronomical. two years ago when alonso won his first championship, Ferrari spent an estimated 300 million as their budget for that year.

jsut watch www.SebringRaceway.com and www.DaytonaInternationalSpeedway.com for the endurance race dates. sports car racing is one of the best values around, $80 for a 4 day pass that gets you into the paddock and everything.
i have seen the 24 at daytona twice in person, USGP once in person, countless SCCA pro races, the first nascar truck race at flemington, more professional drag races than i can count at etown/maple grove, and i have been to a bunch fo the big dollar dirt oval races. hehe
i guess you coudl say i kind of like racing. lol
someday i want to see the 24 at daytona, the 12 at sebring, and the 24 at le mans all in the same season. i also intend to make it to monte carlo some year to watch F1's most expensive venue in action.

Le Mans would be one hell of a race, and Monte Carlo, kudos to you if you go to see that race, I love such classic videos of such races as the Targa Floria, and old school Spa, with the 917K's and 512's duking it out, as one person said, those couple of seasons in the 70's were known as when the Giants fought.
