Which rear end is better? I dont care about price, just want the best, also where is the best place to buy a 12 bolt? So far i found BMR selling them.

I've heard good and bad things about both of them, but I'd give the nod to the Strange based on how many people I know that are running them. I seem to remember an issue with the Moser torque arm mount, but I'm not certain.

all the major brands are about the same as far as quality and you can buy them directly from the manufacturer.

Both Strange and Moser make good pieces but I heard Moser has recently changed hands so take that into account.

I'd go with strange. Granted I had problems with my rear but they stood behind and had it repaired asap. Now its great.

I like my moser, it was easier to install then the Strang. Just make sure you upgrade to a better posi, the eaton they send with doesn't seem to last too long before needing a reduild

is their anything more affordable that can take some low 12- low 11 passes? a common rear I can get used for cheaper that will fit?

You can look for a used 12 bolt. Other than that, there really isn't much out there. Building up a 7.5/7.625 10 bolt is really just an exercise in futility.

I was looking at the 7.625 build up on thirdgen, for 800 bucks it doesnt sound bad, but that doesnt include the rear end and gears, how ever Im not sure how much power it could take, but It says easily 13.8's but i plan on 12.8's untuned. I want to be able to run slicks with out needing a tow home

If you are asking for informational purposes: Don't bother with the 10 bolt and save for the 12.

If you are asking because you are considering a purchase:

Dude, I know you are hearing this from everybody. But I feel the need to shoot you straight so you can get your car going as soon as possible. Honestly, I'd like to see you succeed with your project.

Get your car moving under its own power first. Really. I'm not joking. I'm not trying to bust your stones.

There are PLENTY of other places to spend your money right now. Not to mention that you will have to buy all kinds of other stuff.

IF YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY ON NON-ESSENTIAL PARTS YOU WILL FAIL. I've been a part of 2 projects that have had this happen. It is NOT fun. Especially when you see the car you've busted your ass on loaded onto a trailer and sold.

YOU CAN ALWAYS ADD HOT PARTS LATER.

in your case, i would build that motor then run the rear and trans with that motor until they are toast, then upgrade after they break, in the time that it takes for them to break you have saved up that much more money
