Sears Gets a New Drift Car!!

We just got a Saturn Sky with an LS2 engine!!

Quote:
Gary Castillo from Design Craft Fabrications in California is building the car. He is also the builder of the Falken G35. The new Saturn Sky will have the factory power plant removed and replaced with an LS2 V8 Corvette engine. The car has been completely stripped, and acid dipped. A custom roll cage and fiberglass hardtop has been built for the turbo charged beast.
This year’s car will remain in the Sears / Falken, blue and white splash color scheme. In addition to the Sears Auto Center & Falken sponsorships we will welcome Craftsman and the new DieHard Platinum battery to the list of sponsors on the Sky. The Sky will run the same Group 34/78 DieHard Platinum battery that is available in SAC stores.
For the 2007, the Sears / Falken Saturn Sky will be piloted by Formula D veteran Ben Schwartz. The 26 year old from Kentucky was a Ranger for the U.S. Army and has been competing in Formula D since 2004. His aggressive driving and undeniable style has earned him the nickname Ben “Big Smoke” Schwartz.
So no we have a 350Z with the Titan's 5.6 and we also have the Sky with an LS2!!

Ahaha...well, its not MINE, but owned and operated by Falken's D1 team. Sears is the main sponsor and we use a lot of our Sears gear in them such as the new Die Hard Platnium battery, Falken tires we sell in the store along with Falken wheels.
At my old store, we actualy had two of the cars, the 05 Mustang GT and a 05 G35 come into uoru shop for repairs. They flew in techs from Cali to work on them. Mustang and G35 both blew engines, and in 2-3 days, both were ready to go for the D1 competition in Wall.

I didn't know there was a speedway in NJ, let alone drift comps. I'm definitely turning the 91 into a drift car now. Sept 8th, Wall Speedway is going to be hosting a drift comp, and apparently its part of the Formula D regular season.
