Should I be nervous?

Sold a Wii on eBay, buyer bought the item and had the typical 0 feedback, new user. Thought I was just getting scammed but they paid, and with a confirmed shipping address to boot. I used signature confirmation just to be extra safe. Is there anything else I should do to cover myself?

if there's something you can arrange to make them have to sign for it
i'd recommend that, this way they can't deny it arrived

in actuality i hear that paypal isn;t that safe at all, even with a confirmed address

but anyway, if the guy paid and you have the money in hand (meaning the check cleared, money order was cashed, or recieved the payment through paypal and took out the money already) and you paid for delivery confirmation, everything should be ok. I think the only thing you could have missed was some type of insurance.

unfortunately people can still be asses and claim for 30 days (i think) and paypal holds the money until they have decided what to do, even if you take it out the remove the money from your paypal account which would then goto a negative therefore it would try to take cash outta your bank account. you should leave all payments and funds in paypal until everything is completed and customer is happy

well im all for having the customer happy, but not everyone is like that.
well i really don;t what would happen if paypal was connected to you bank account. not sure what the course of action would be.

fyi, i've been following a paypal scam on a rc forum. the guy stole thousands of dollars (not sure of the amount but trust me, it could have been a nice down payment on a new car) using paypal as his medium. he did however scammed individuals in a short amount of time but he was still able to pulll it off.
what the guy did was sell items and never ship them. took the money out as soon as he got it. when the buyers filed a claim with paypal there was no one there to take out. sure he has a negative number in his paypal account, but he does have all the peoples money.

(taken from the site)If PayPal feels your actions are questionable, PayPal is the investigator, judge, jury and executioner. "Telling your side" of what happened, in most cases seems to be irrelevant. They also refuse to provide you with the details of their investigation and withhold documents they relied upon to make their decisions
i've never been burned using paypal and hopefully others here haven;t

but if you guys want some reading check these out

http://www.paypalwarning.com/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Something_Awful (read the katrina donation part)
http://paypalsucks.com

btw i also hear it can go the other way.

personally, i have never been burned using paypal, but just keep an open mind about paypal and that there are certain risk in using it

PayPal can and has done funny things. Like if its a hacked PayPal account and you ship to an unconfirmed address, the charges will get reversed and you're out your cash.

Just checking in to see if I am missing a little rule that can get me backhanded later. I don't feel like losing my 300 dollars
