I guess I'm a tard cause I park like that... well, not taking up 4 spots but I'll take up 2 spots so people don't ding up my daily driver. As for my camaro, it has so many dents a few more just add to its character.
What woulda been funny is if you parked right along side him so close that you have to exit through your passenger door.

i park in the back of the lot, but never in more than one space.. no need to call attention to the fact that you dont want your car f***** up, that just makes people like matt do stupid things to it.. one space in the back of a lot has seemed ot work well.

hmm good observation liz, i didnt notice that at first.
when i used to work at acme there was this woman that would come in and double park her (99-04 style) mustang, i just wanted to get a s***** car and try and cram it into one of those spots and i agree with what melissa said, theres no need to park in more then one spot, if your so worried about it park away from everyone else. thats what i always did at my apartment, i parked on the side of the lot where there was only 2 other cars there

the thing under the wiper was actually something on the dash inside the car, something about a christian bookstore

tricks to avoiding door dings without having to park like that.
1. park next to an island or at the end of a row so no one can be next to you
2. park next to the handy capable spot, same reason as above
3. park at the back fo the lot
4. park next to something expensive, if they spent a ton of loot on their ride odds are that they will be more careful wwith the doors
5. if you have to park next to one car, try to park on their passenger side. most of the time when people are out driving they are by themselves so you are reducing your odds of a door ding.
6. park next to 4 door cars, especially if you can find a compact. they have smaller doors that don't reach out as far to cause damage to yours
thee were a bunch more that i have read that i can't think fo right now. someone posted a huge list on TGO or CZ28 once.

Also, try to line up your door / front of your car with their door. The rear quarter on fourth gens is the only panel that dents

park like 1/8th of an inch from the island's curb, then usually you're far enough from the next spot for that car to matter

I wish I had a beater car partly for the reason I could do stuff without fear of retaliation since my car would already be crap. Nice job! I like your style.
