That might be one of the most badass things I've ever heard.

not nit-picking or anything, but that's not what i read. taking one off of a dead body is miles away from killing someone and then taking their sword. one is bad-ass and one is being in the right place at the right time.
i have a collection. i made a contact through eBay with a guy that was buying containers full from some overseas customs people. you know, people trying to walk though customs with a sword in their carry-on bag.
some were in really good shape, some piss poor. some with scabbards, some without, some with handles, some missing everything except the blade itself. i had a little production shop setup here in my office where i would refurbish the swords and then turn around and resell them on eBay. i learned the ins and outs of handles, braids and repairing broken scabbards.
made quite a tidy profit and ended up with the best ones for myself. i had so many i was even taking them over to the flea market. sell one blade for $50 and the table was paid for, for the weekend.

I'd love to see a picture of that. I'm having a hard time deciding exactly how to display it in my office.

i sincerely doubt the japanese soldier was a GENERAL... every soldier had a sword in world war two... and they werent samurai.. lol
