And then they mail you a ticket with a court summons because they most likely have your license plate on video.

the no chase policy is for when a trooper is parked or going the other direction and a speeder goes by....

If a trooper is attempting to pull you over, As in his light bar is lit, and you decide to take off, they can and will chase you.

the no chase law is also MAINLY for motorcycles, since the outcome would rarely workout in a safe situation for public, rider, and trooper

On top of that, when they find out who you are they aren't going to give you a ticket, they are going to take your ass away in handcuffs.

They would probably hit you with resisting arrest/evasion, reckless endangerment and a bunch of other stuff.

as a side note, a very good friend of mine whos a hamilton cop got hit by a drunk 18 year old kid that was trying to leave the scene of an accident at the fireworks on july 3rd....he is ok, but the kids in big trouble over a stupid decision. is it worth it?

i work with criminals and scumbags every day and most of them speak about and show more respect towards police officers than some of you guys. I dont know if your trying to sound cool or somthing but ill bet 90% of the people that make threads sayin F**K the pigs and all that crap have never had an experience with police other than a traffic violation that was their fault.

I've heard of people getting away from cops in a chase then calling and reporting their car stolen so when they find out who the owner is, and it comes up stolen, they can't place the driver in the car at the time of the chase. Unless they have your face on video.

why would you care if there is a way to get away from the police, via the 'no chase' rule, or whatever, unless you were planning on running from the cops? i can tell you from experience that running always makes the situation worse. you cannot get away. even if they don't chase you, they have a radio in the car (and computer) that is much faster than the fastest car in the world. stop trying to think about getting away with something, also known as shirking your responsibility, and concentrate on becoming a contributing member of society. and they used to call the '80s the "me" generation...

i doubt that would work out, since there is such an extensive amount of paperwork to do for a stolen car. not to mention you have to come up with a viable and believable story to go along with it. they also might wonder as to the coincidence that you don't report the car stolen until after it was in a chase. the police will enter the car ncic for evading before you get to for being stolen.

And then you'd get the added fun of being charged with 'filing a false police report'.

I admire police such as homicide detectives who work sometimes 48 hours straight. The ball busters who pull you over for trivial things because they have nothing else better to do - screw them.

I dont see how many of you have such troubles with getting pulled over.
for YEARS i never had any connections or reasons to get let off and i managed, sure i got the occasional ticket, ok...more like 75+ but i never blamed a cop. most tickets were BS ones so it didnt really matter, i only got 4 moving violations in my life, 2 were out of state. currently i have no points in the past 3 years even.

Now when i get pulled over, call me crazy, but i kind of enjoy it. haha, it lets me know the cops are out there doing their job. Hell, if i was a cop, id pull me over as soon as i saw me. Plus i know when i get stopped, the cop is getting a better chance to chekc out my car. Last night a local cop pulled a u turn, followed me into the next town and stopped me.
Now for anyone who has seen/heard my car will fully understand why a cop would stop me. he told me i had my license plate light out, i said sorry gave him my paperwork. after about 5 seconds, he hands everything back to me, and says have a good night, didnt even run anything.

Just have respect and they will too, ie, if you have a tinted rear window and u get stopped, keep BOTH hands on the wheel at 10 and 2 until he comes to your window and asks for paperwork, he doesnt mind waiting an extra minute while you get it.
