rubber removal
what is a good product to use to get the black stuff off from doing burnouts, or just driving over say new blacktop and the crap that flies up and sticks to the back area by wheel wells??

Summit use to have something in their mag. that claimed to get it off easy. I dont know if they still have the product anymore though. My friend bought it 5-6 years ago....but I dont know how well it worked either.

ive seen people put vasoline on the rear quarters behind the tires so they could just wipe off the burnt rubber, also it keeps the hot rubber from burning the paint

I think you can do this with dish soap in a spray bottle as well. However, it will take any wax you have on that part of the car off.

well I usually wax the rear quarter panel and afterwards the rubber comes off easy. I'm asking for my uncle because my aunt ran over a newly paved road and the car is covered in black specks.

thats what i use. also works well for windshields when the bugs hit it. its an all around amazing product

Doesn't it have a wax in it that leaves a haze?

It is a super cleaner/ degreaser and removes rubber.

yeah, but i usually windex the winshield right after.

Soapy water does the trick for me. I leave the rubber on the floorpans in the back though, someday I will have enough so I can scrape it off, melt it down and have enough for a new set of BFGs

i usally spray this stuff called burnout gaurd all over the rear 1/4's. sold though summit or jegs just spray it on let it dry ,spray again then after your done racing pull up to the water hose at the track and spray it off. stuff works amazing as long as you do it right away. if you wait days to do it, it will be a pita. in that case i use this stuff called goo gone. it's a mess but gets the job done.

i use a product called poorboys bug squash....takes it right off... a claybar and all the other suggestions in here will work as well
