Fully built t56 from cartek in nj cost 2800 new. does grid going into 3rd 80% of the time. maybe 6-8k miles no bell housing i reused it. on the extra t56 i had while i came up with money to get 3rd fixed.sold the car so this has to go. looking for about half what i have in it.

02 stock z28 wheels with almost new front tires and 50% tread bfg dr on the back $450

i have a exta 61 gn turbo and a gtq74 for a syty but the housing can be changed easy enough. normally 100 or less. i could probably get you a stocker if that is what you are looking for

well I'm looking for something that'll work good on my 3.4...and I'm not to good with what any of that means lol. I am interested in the 61 though

You wouldn't happen to have any 8.5" g-body rears that aren't working well, would you? My brother is looking for one to build up for his '79 Malibu.....

Is that 74 a ceramic turbo? and is the 61 a pre F.I. era GN turbo? hows the shaft play, and whats the reason for them being sold?

no it is no a ceramic i did not know they even made them any more and i have been playing with turbos for a long time. no the 61 is a gn turbo from the early mid 90s when they came out with good ones for gns. the 74 i bought when my 72 was bad to replace the 72. i bought the 61 to stick on the ty when the 72 was bad to find out if it was the turbo smoking and not the motor. i had done many "smoke" fixes like intake gaskets and such and it was still smoking so i picked up the 61 from a friend and tried that and the smoke went away. that is the only miles i have on it is is from sitting in my garage with no down pipe on to make sure it did not smoke. the 74 i had on my last motor in the ty when i melted 2 pistons i took it off and went to a 57 and a smaller build. i want to try and get 500 to the wheels with a smaller build this time, see if maybe i can hold it together without so much flow going on. like stock heads, smaller turbo, stock manifolds, smaller ic. little to no play in both. but like i said they are as is i dont know if either are perfect inside and you can never know with any used turbo unless they are sent out and check out.
