When I click "new posts"

why the hell do 6 of the same godamn anouncement threads pop up on my screen

looking around i don't see any way to adjust that in the software. i will ask justin to take a look, but i don't think there is a way to change it.

No, announcements, stickies, and posts will all be displayed when you use the "new posts" feature to read the board. There is no way around that.

You asked for the software to show you everything that was new, so it did.....

Sounds like it did what it was supposed to do.

And it wasn't in every part of the board....we didn't put it up in the Events section.

But lounge and classifieds get the most traffic by far, with classifieds being a distant second.

They are just annoying there, and i dont wanna waste my click

who is most likely to go to a gathering? those that participate in the lounge. no need to have it everywhere else

it is something we are doing to raise awareness of club meets. so far it seems to be working well as indicated by the number of views of the main thread getting a nice jump in the last few days since the global announcement started.
