Akira Yamaoka is pretty good. He did all the music for the Silent Hill games, and he said he's working on something new for them

The music from Final Fantasy 7 was pretty good too.

A lot of electronic musicians are starting to get into music for alternate media, like games because it allows the musician to create visually based on the game. My next class at Berklee is a music for video games class.

on myspace a dude from london named Radomizer (random actually but due to copyrights he went with randomizer). He uses 8 bit video game style music and its actually kinda neat.
