PEG BUNDY LIVES!!!!
I know it may not be in my best interest to vent about my wife on a public forum, but this is too good...or bad for me to pass up! OK, I've been working day shift, which means I have to get up between 4-430 AM to get ready to start at 6. Well, I've really been dragging ass after coming home from work, and last night I passed out on the couch around 9 PM. Well, my wife, who works when she wants, or has to work, usually goes to bed around 11 PM. Well, I woke up this morning @ 430, got ready for work, and was out the door about 450. She was still sleeping, of course. Well, I get home @ 230, and she was still upstairs asleep. So, I took out the dog, put out the garbage, and came back inside and sat down to pay a few bills. I was really tired, so I figured I'd do this little bit of stuff, then hit the couch for a nap, and when I woke up I was planning on killing some cold pizza that was in the fridge for dinner. Well, "Peg" comes down from upstairs, barely says "hello" to me, and proceeds to flop out on the couch! I was kinda pizzed, because I wanted to grab a nap on the couch, because our bed hurts my back and I can't take too much time sleeping on it. Well, I leave "Peg" alone, and take a slow walk upstairs to take a nap. I figured she woulda known why I was going up there, and she woulda stopped me and asked me if I wanted the couch. Nope. So, I go up and nap for a couple of uncomfortable hours. So then I get up, and come downstairs, figuring I'll go heat up the pizza, since I know dayum well that "Peg" isn't gonna get off the couch and make me dinner. But when I went in the fridge to get the pizza I found that "Peg" beat me to it! So, now I have to eat a sammich for dinner, which sux, because I already had a sammich for breakfast, and a sammich for lunch. Now I'm REALLY fuming, but it's OK, because "Peg" is snoring away on the couch. And the topper of it all is I noticed I'm outa clean underwear, so now I gotta go do laundry when I should be getting ready for bed. But maybe I'm being too hard on "Peg," Maybe I should go out and buy her some bon-bons!

lol. We all get those moments with our significant other. My grandmom makes this one sponge cake for me every once in a while and when I brought home the cake....I went for a piece a day later and the whole damn thing was gone. I was like " WTF SHE ATE THE WHOLE THING!!!!". Granted it's not a very large cake but I was fuming.
Go get her some bon bons and a new mattress for the bed so you can sleep.

Well, it's time to pay the piper. I did my friggin' laundry, and I even took the dog out again. Now I'm gonna go and dive bomb my *** onto the couch, whether or not she is still on it or not!

That sucks bob, I thought things were getting better for you..
When I lived at my parents house, I kind of had the same schedule that you described, i was out of the house by 4 or 430, depending on where i was going for the day, and if it was local enough, i'd be home by 1 or 2, completely exhausted and only wanting lunch and a nap. I'd get home, get asked to do the dishes, clean the living room, help with more work blah blah blah, and my mom would still be sleeping.. meanwhile, i hadn't been home to make the dishes or the mess.. That's (one of the reasons) why I moved out. They can do their own damn dishes. And I have my own damn couch usually.

Kinda reminds me of my FAVORITE song by Guns & Roses. "I USED TO LOVE HER, BUT I HAD TO KILL HER". She bitched so much, it drove me nuts, but now I'am happier this way. Even tho she's 6 feet under, I can still hear her complain. LOVE THOSE LYRICS!

If she passed out that early on the couch, you have the right to write stuff on her forehead in marker.

Bob, from one married guy to another...
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it.
Next time lay a blanket across the couch. If she falls asleep on it, you just have to flip the blanket to roll her out.

Yeah, but every job has a time to retire...
If I wasn't so far along in wanting to finish up my car, I'd be heading out the door...AGAIN!
