garage rent

a friend and i are looking to get out of the garage that we rent now(located in allendale). we currently pay 150 a peice (300 total) for a two car garage with overhead storage. we have had nothing but problems with the people around the garage and the realitor. we have the opportunity to get another two car garage with no overhead storage(located in Boonton). the rent is alot more. its 500 total but it also has electric and gas heat, both of which are included(the other garage has neither one). my friend and i met with the owner today and hes a really cool guy. he really doesnt care what we do with the place just as long as we dont trash it. and its alot closer. it about 5min from my house and 10min from my friends house. the other garage that we rent now is at least 30min from both of us. my only problem is that the garage we are looking to rent looks alittle small to me. maybe im being to picky. my friend is all for it. hes ready to move are stuff there but im the one thats not 100% sure(im leaning heavily towards the one in boonton). which one would you choose. i have to call the guy on monday with our decision. thanks alot

Well, if the size is a concern, grab a tape and measure it out - compare it to the one you have currently. It could be something else about it (lack of overhead storage) that is making it seem smaller.

Having it that much closer is certainly a big plus. I would say if you don't really need the over head storage and the extra cash isn't a big deal, then go for it.
