w00t! for Allstate!

I just got my renewal in the mail from Allstate. Found out that my rates went down $5 each month AND I got a $41.00 check as their safe driving bonus! That's like having my rates go down $100, even though I got 2 speeding tickets this year When they told me that my rates wouldn't increase because of the tickets, my jaw dropped. Absolutely incredible.

EDIT: and since I'll turn 25 this month, my rates on my next 6 months should go down even more.

good news. I am getting married in a month so that should knock my rates down, and I'm turning 25 in Aug. so it should go down again. I use State Farm and they bust their ass to please me. Got a $300+ dividend from them this past Nov. also.

yeah, they've been really good to me except my agent is no longer allstate so ig otta go find another agent. but when i switched from travelers they cut my rates at least in half on all 3 cars. Needless to say, i'm very happy with them.

I can't believe allstate is getting praise. I used to have them for my 1 car and they were raping me on my rates. When I switched to geico I went from over $3,000 for the year to less then $1,500.

I would never go back to allstate. I don't know if it was just my agent who was a scumbag or the company but I can't stand them

I also moved from Allstate to another insurance company (Progressive). After 6 months with AllState they raised my rates $130 telling me that it was because rates in NJ went up and because of a new car depreciation (basically every year my car got older.... it was a 2006, that the rate would go up some because its not so new). I found that to be BS so I just dropped them.

When I switched to them, my rates from my other company would have been around $3k just for full coverage on my Z28, Allstate gave me full coverage on that, plus liability on my jeep and 79 and my premium is under 1800/year

I'm with you. I used have them way back when, and after being with them for 4 or 5 years, I got dropped for no reason. No points, no accidents, not even a parking ticket. My agent at the time told me there was nothing they could do, but I could re-apply after 6 months and they would take me back.
I've been using the best independent agent in the world since about 2000 or so, and currently have my policy with Palisades. Outstanding service with my agent, and low prices with Palisades FTW.

Be careful with companies like that. I just went to do a quote on esurance just for fun, and they were already higher than my allstate policy, before i broke down the numbers and saw that the highest they would go for medical benefits is 10,000? wtf kind of medical coverage is that? 10,000 won't cover a DAY in the hospital if you're in an accident. they also won't put uninsured coverage on my z for some reason, so def look your policy over, all your limits should be at LEAST 100/300, more in most cases because everything costs more.

Dont worry sis, 100/300 is what I got, and still wicked cheap.

check your medical coverage too. tahts not included in PIP, its additional. The max on the quote that esurance would go was 10,000, where allstate has 100,000+

it's so funny watching the insurance companies vying for people. my wife has allstate for her jeep (inc theft) and her son's honduh. there is no way in hell any company could be any lower unless they were cutting their throat to get there. and me with hargerty's, there is no way any other company could come close to what i pay for a year for replacement coverage.

Keep in mind that each car insurance company has their own "Target market", so while Allstate might be the best ption for someone, Esurance might be the best one for their neighbor, and Geico for their cousin, etc.
