1991 RS, dream of turning into a stripped out NASA car, maybe American Iron Extreme. Right now though its in the grandparents garage waiting for me to get my own garage and time to build it.

I got myself an 87 Firebird at the end of December 07. It's in my garage now and it's been there ever since i got it.
I still have the stock 305 in it. I got rid of all the emissions stuff and installed a set of shorty headers, lower temp thermostat, egr block off plate and pulled the ac off the motor. All the stuff under the dash came out except the guages and all the seats are gone. I got a rigid plastic racing seat, B&M ratchet shifter. I replaced the T5 and rebuilt a turbo 350 that just went in this weekend. Alot of modifications were required but things are working with some patience and help from my brother and friends. One friend hooked me up with a set of American racing rims and ET street radials. I have more work to button up the trans swap and it'll be driveable. My next plan is a set of 4.11 gears for the rear. After all the wrenching is done i'll paint it.
This set up is just for this summer. It's strictly a track car, not street legal. I'm keeping the stock 305 and minor mods so i can get to know the car and the track, i'm a rookie racer.
My big plans are already in the works and i have a few options. My brother has a 12 second 350 in his 70 Cutlass that i can have for my car. Or my buddy has a bare 400 block that i can build from scratch and make some nasty horsepower. I'm leaning more towards the 400 sbc to put a stroker crank, aluminum heads and all the goodies. I have a turbo 400 to go behind it and i'm looking for a 9" rear. After this summer i'll find out how fast i want to go and take it from there.
I always wanted a project car and the Firebird caught my eye. It was sitting in the weeds next to this guys garage with a grey hood, blue junk yard door, after market fender and the rest of the car is the original white. I got it for $400.

Few people even know about this car for the most part....
heres my one project... got the car in 1998... long term with this one. When i began i didnt know too much about cars and all, now ive progressed a lot and plan on going back through what i did so far and making changes... In 3 years i may start working on it again. With a battery, it will fire up, just no radiator installed so i cant let it run long.
BTW, its a 79 vette, with a 96 Impala SS LT1(6,609 original miles) 80-82 style wheels, zr1 replica rear bumoer, L88 hood, Daytona front bumper, and the wing is getting removed.

1992 Beretta GT Project
Exterior:
so far i got the bumpers on. ive acquired the skirts ive needed in almost mint condition. Parts for these cars are getting hard to find lately. I had to travel out to allentown pa to pick up the skirts with no cracks and the gtu spoiler (third gen style spoiler).
This is what i got so far and fixed...
Z26 bumpers
Z26 skirts
GTU spoiler
z51 rpo option sway bar (88 beretta gt only)
recessed front lighting and fogs
cooling system overhaul (40k miles)
low mileage 3.1 motor swap
new taillights and filler panels
NOS beretta gt decals (for after paint, not on car)
The interior is 90 percent restored with the exception of not being able to find a decents drivers seat or door panel.
not like anyone here really cares about a Beretta anyway. i have a lot of time looking for these parts, more time than actually spent working on the car. Remember these cars were a dime a dozen but were beat to crap. My goal is to have this car in better than showroom condition.

Here is my project. Code name Metal Mucil; More Fiber
Currently it is a 71 Mulsane Blue RS Camaro with a 307 auto and an unknown rear. In the end she should be an LS1 powered T56 car in Lime green with the Rally stripes.

I'm to lazy to post all the pics, so here is a link. It's in my sig already but I figured it belonged in the resto section.

yea there awesome, its 56 for those who aren't up on the old ford trucks lol. right now the plans are just a 350 swap (currently stock 289, 3 on the column), satin black enamel paint with red and white pin striping, red steel wheels with real wide tires in the rear. i got it to use as a tow vehicle to pull my large car trailer in style lol.
after i get some more time a chop, drop, and side pipes.
it should be done kinda soon ill put up finished pics.
