				Blew a Head Gasket

Well yesterday as i was driving to work my car started bucking and losing power.
It was still running so i figured i would drive it the next couple of miles to work. As i pulled into work my temp gauge was off the chart. I let it sit for a good 4 hours and then added coolant to the resovior seeing how it was all gone. i let the car idle for a little and noticed the fluid started to bubble in there. Then white smoke started coming from my exhaust. So after a long days work i had to drive home and there was no way and i was going to call a tow truck. So i started driving home and pulled over in a gas station when the car started over heating. I was looking for ice. Seems no one on 130 carries ice anymore. So to make a long story short it took me 3 hours of stopping and going to get home safely. What a night. Today i;m going to have the pleasure of replacing the head gasket luckily i don't have work today. BTW this is my 93 Civic Hatch.

My brother's old Civic(89) started to overheat and the radiator cap did not do it's job and ended up blowing the neck off the radiator. It ended up blowing the headgasket as well and might have warped the head or block. That was the end of that Honda for him. Make sure you didn't do more damage than just the head gasket, it's probably not worth wasting too much money to fix if it's something bigger than that.
