chris, im doing the same thing. someone put a 350 in my formula before i bought it. and left everything else stock. it back fired and wouldnt stay running. chip was trying to feed the 350 a 305's needs. so i went carb. i left the factory fuel pump intact. and went with a 3 port fuel pressure regulator. w/ a bypass. however i am changing the whole top end. heads cam manifold and carb. i am with a few others. your cam may not have the lobe being a roller motor. whatever the outcome let us know what it is.
