Al, what the heck is this?

i thought the Z06 got axed once the ZR1 came out?
http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/13/p...or-and-wheels/

i'm not complaining because i prefer the Z06 to the completely outrageous ZR1 and man is it gorgeous, but what the heck is going on? what engine does it have?

dude i saw those wheels on a z06 in a dealership the other day. it was a red convertible and the rims were chrome. they don't look as intimidating as the others, but they are pretty slick

No, ZR1 will be the 3rd model, one above the Z06.

Talks of the Z06 getting the LSA that is in the CTS-V as well will be in the upcoming Camaro Z28. Kinda sucks if you think about it though. The LS7 is more expensive to build then the LS9. What does also suck is that is the case, Z06 could lose its dry-sump system and put on a few lbs with the supercharged engine.

IMO...Z06 should get, including the Z28, a direct injected LS3 making 500-550hp. Road racers should not have to carry the weight of a big blower.

a convertible = not a z06 for future reference.
